Nauvoo Fire Protection District responded to 20 calls in 2017 - 9.1 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Nauvoo included nine fires - two structure fires and seven other fires.

In all, the department saw $50,000 in fire loss - or about $5,556 per fire.

The department also received 11 false calls.

The Nauvoo Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $316,388 in 2017.
