Report: Franklin spent $13,947 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Franklin Community Unit School District 1 is up 13.6 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Morgan County school district spent $12,275 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $13,947 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 303 to 305.

Franklin's spending in 2017-18 was 4.6 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
