Report: Hamilton spent $8,385 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Hamilton Community Consolidated School District 328 is down 2.6 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Hancock County school district spent $8,608 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $8,385 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 586 to 603.

Hamilton's spending in 2017-18 was 37.1 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
