Report: A-C Central spent $9,550 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at A-C Central Community Unified School District 262 is up 5.6 percent from five years ago, according to a West Central Reporter analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cass County school district spent $9,042 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $9,550 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 450 to 440.

A-C Central's spending in 2017-18 was 28.4 percent lower than the state average of $13,337.
