Avery goes above and beyond in the classroom, making her an outstanding and enjoyable student to work with.

Mrs. Craven introduced Nathan Hendricker as February’s Student of the Month. Nathan was nominated by Mr. Jeremy Garrett. Mr. Garrett stated that Nathan has really evolved into a leader in the classroom. He has been setting the tone in all of our discussions over primary documents. Also, he has been really great working with every student in the classroom.

Administrative Reports & Raising Expectations speakers; Dave Phelps, Athletic Director, provided the following information on behalf of the Administration: The IHSA and its member schools voted in December to adopt a district format for varsity football. This format will begin with the 2021-22 school year or the 2021 football season. The state will put schools into districts that are made up of eight like-sized schools. The state will also set the schedule for when each school will play those seven district games. This will be for varsity football games only. Each school will be responsible for finding two other games to fill their schedule. Schools will be responsible for scheduling their own JV and freshmen football games. Every two years the districts could change depending on things like growth in enrollment, consolidations, coops and teams switching to 8-man football. The projection of when the state plans to release the districts is December of 2020. They are waiting until then because where each school falls in terms of class will be determined by the next two years enrollments. Teams will stay in that class for two years and then their class will determined by the previous two years and that cycle will continue.
