2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Mcdonough County?

There were 22 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live in Mcdonough County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Central Reporter.

The data shows that 20 men and two women were released in Mcdonough County. The median age of the parolees was 37. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2016, and the oldest was a 62-year-old man convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2011.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Steven R. Johnson. He was convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2011 when he was 54 years old. He is now 62.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
