Q4 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Hancock County?

There were six offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter that live in Hancock County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Central Reporter.

The data shows that five men and one woman were released in Hancock County. The median age of the parolees was 33. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018, and the oldest was a 48-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Christopher T. Simmons. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2016 when he was 34 years old. He is now 37.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter in each Hancock County municipality.
