Memorial Hospital has received the 2025 Award of Merit from the Illinois Society for Healthcare Marketing and Public Relations (ISHMPR) for its marketing campaign promoting the Memorial Medical Clinic Mobile. The award recognizes the hospital’s efforts to publicize and promote the mobile clinic, which began operating in fall 2024.

Cynthia Stewart, Director of Marketing, Communications, & PR at Memorial Hospital, said, “We are thrilled to be recognized for this award. Our team works tirelessly to ensure that Memorial Hospital’s message of hope and healing is delivered to our community and beyond.”

The campaign included fundraising led by Memorial Hospital Foundation through the Strengthening Minds, Building Futures initiative. This effort raised $56,000 to renovate and equip the mobile clinic.

A key part of the project was designing the exterior of the mobile clinic. The Marketing Department collaborated with Memorial Hospital’s Behavioral Health Department and Holly Papa, an independent artist from Idaho. Justina Lichner, Multimedia Specialist at Memorial Hospital, explained: “The design is meant to be a reflection of our community. In the design you’ll see the people we see every day doing the types of activities our area is known for, like fishing along the Mississippi, biking, walking, and spending quality time with friends and family while enjoying the beautiful nature that surrounds us here.”

The Award of Merit also acknowledged other aspects of the marketing campaign such as press releases, webpages, advertisements, photography and more. ISHMPR provides networking opportunities as well as recognition and education for professionals in healthcare marketing and communications.
