Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in McDonough County?

There were three offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in McDonough County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Central Reporter.

The data shows that one man and two women were released in McDonough County. The median age of the parolees was 32. The youngest parolee was a 24-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018, and the oldest was a 40-year-old woman sentenced for a property crime in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Joseph M. Steele. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2018 when he was 23 years old. He is now 24.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each McDonough County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
