Q2 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Schuyler County?

There were five offenders released on parole during the second quarter of 2019 that live in Schuyler County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Central Reporter.

The data shows that all of the released offenders in Schuyler County were men. The median age of the parolees was 42. The youngest parolee was a 29-year-old man sentenced for a crime against a person in 2018, and the oldest was a 61-year-old man sentenced for a sex crime in 1990.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Otis Arrington. He was convicted of a sex crime in 1990 when he was 31 years old. He is now 61.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the second quarter of 2019 in each Schuyler County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
