McDonough County Elms/Building and Grounds Committee met Feb. 10.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

The Elms/Building and Grounds Committee met on Tuesday February 11, 2020 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at The Elms. Committee members in attendance included Chair Larry Aurelio, Lee Calvert, Terra Litchfield, Bob Mahr, Paul Trimmer and Deckle McLean. Committee Vice Chair Marcia Twaddle and Member Dave Cortelyou were absent. Others in attendance included County Board Chair Scott Schwerer, Elms Administrator Tim Bledsoe, Patrick Stout and Committee Secretary Stacey Alexander.

Chairman Aurelio called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Review and Approval of January 14, 2020 Minutes

Member McLean Moved to approve January 14, 2020 Minutes with Correction, Member Calvert seconded. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Farm Report

No Report.

Administrator’s Report

Elms Administrator Tim Bledsoe gave the report. Census is at 73, with 10 being Medicare A, 0 Medicare B, 22 private pay, 6 Hospice Private, 35 Medicaid, 6 Hospice Medicaid. ADC 70 and Turnover percentage is 3.54%. Agency hours, 167.75 and Agency Cost, $5,112.00. Medicaid owes $515,425.26. Medicare owes $138,766.07. In January admissions: Home 2, Nursing home 2, Assisted Living 1, Acute Care Hospital 9. January discharges: Home 5, Funeral Home 4, Group Home 1 Acute Care Hospital 1.

Financial Report

Member Trimmer moved with a second by Member Mahr to approve the January 2020 Financial Reports. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Elms Claims

Member Mahr moved with a second by Member Trimmer to approve the Elm’s claims as submitted. Motion carried with a roll call vote of 6 yeas, 0 nays, 0 vacant and 2 absent.

Macomb Public Building Commission

No Report. Member Mahr said they are still waiting on gutters for the Elms.

Zahrn Building

No Report.

McDonough County Maintenance Directors Report

No Report.

Message passed on from Committee Secretary Stacey Alexander, McDonough County Treasurer Graves has had numerous complaints, about the bird droppings on the North and South steps.

Building and Grounds Claims

Member Litchfield moved with a second by Member Trimmer to approve the January Building and Grounds Claims. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Other

None.

County Board Chair Comments

Wind Farm is progressing, 85% is up and going. Teamsters Contracts that were handed out, the parts in red are the changes.

Adjourn

Member Mahr moved and Member Litchfield with a second to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
