Hancock County Finance, Fees and Salaries Committee met April 9.
Here is the minutes provided by the committee:
The Finance, Fees and Salaries Committee met in the County Board Room at 9:00am. Members present were Wayne Bollin, Chairman, Steve Bolton, Mark Menn, Mark Hanson, Janet Fleming, and Harry Douglas. Absent were Bryan Stevens and Delbert Kreps, Chairman of the Board.
Kris Pilkington, County Treasurer entered the meeting and passed out the Budgetary Reports and the States reimbursements to the members. Kris also stated that the Audit was coming a long pretty good and they are just faxing items to the Auditors. Janet ask how Health Department and Ambulance was doing and Kris stated she has a lot of their items already. Kris stated that the taxes should come out on time and some counties are wanting to delay 90 days but she feels this would be bad in the log run
Wayne informed the members that Racheal had given him a phone number and code so the board members can do some meetings as a conference call from home. A paper will be passed out to all the members as we will maybe have to do something like this for the full board meeting. We need at least the Committee Chairmen's, the chairman of the Board and Kerry the secretary at the meeting, but no more than 10 people present. Everyone should keep a watch for further messages on the full board meeting.
Wayne also passed around a report that the Workman's Comp. audit was good and we are getting back $7,837.00 for last year. This is because Kris rechecked the figures and corrected some of them.
Wayne also passed out a letter from the Mayor of Nauvoo that was wanting the County to relocate some source of nursing home facility in Nauvoo for older people. This would be great if the county had the funds to do this for every community.
Wayne also stated Bellweather has started working and has been asking question in regard the budget work for next year. Kris stated that they have called her for some information on this also. Wayne also stated that Keith Krohe, County Health Insurance was going to come today, but reported everything is going really good and isn't having any problems.
Forty-four claims were reviewed for payment by the members. After reviewing a motion was made by Harry Douglas to present these claims to the full board for payment. Mark Hanson seconded the motion. All voted aye. Motion carried.
Having nothing further to discuss a motion was made by Steve Bolton to recess until May 14, 2020 at 9:00am. Mark Menn seconded the motion. All voted aye. Motion carried.
