Q4 2019 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Greene County?

There were eight offenders released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2019 that live in Greene County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Central Reporter.

The data shows that five men and three women were released in Greene County. The median age of the parolees was 40. The youngest parolee was a 27-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving drugs in 2018, and the oldest was a 60-year-old man sentenced for a crime against one or more children in 2014.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Nathine W. Walker. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2018 when he was 34 years old. He is now 36.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the fourth quarter of 2019 in each Greene County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
