South Jacksonville Fire District responded to 60 calls in 2018 - 31 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in South Jacksonville included 34 fires - 22 structure fires, four vehicle fires and eight other fires. The fire department also responded to one call for ruptures, explosions or overheating.

In all, the department saw $155,700 in fire loss - or about $4,579 per fire.

The department also received 25 false calls.
