Greenfield Fire Protection District responded to 12 calls in 2018 - 57.1 percent less than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Greenfield included 11 fires - five structure fires, two vehicle fires and four other fires.

In all, the department saw $69,000 in fire loss - or about $6,273 per fire.

The department also received one false call.

The Greenfield Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $178,864 in 2018.
