Beardstown Rural Fire Protection District responded to 18 calls in 2018, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Beardstown Rural included 16 fires - four structure fires, two vehicle fires and 10 other fires.

In all, the department saw $917,000 in fire loss - or about $57,313 per fire.

The department also received two false calls.
