Q1 2020 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in McDonough County?

There were four offenders released on parole during the first quarter of 2020 that live in McDonough County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by West Central Reporter.

The data shows that two men and two women were released in McDonough County. The median age of the parolees was 42. The youngest parolee was a 30-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2018, and the oldest was a 58-year-old woman sentenced for a property crime in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Penny S. Self. She was convicted of a property crime in 2018 when she was 56 years old. She is now 58.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter of 2020 in each McDonough County municipality with at least one parolee in the quarter.
