Hancock County Building, Grounds and Insurance Committee met Oct. 12.

Here is the minutes provided by the committee:

The Building, Grounds and Insurance Committee met in the County Board Room at 6:30pm. Members present were Tom Scheetz, Chairman, Patsy Davis, Tom Rodgers, Dennis Castlebury and Delbert Kreps, Chairman of the Board. Absent were Gary Dittmer, Stephen Finney and Bryan Stevens.

Rachel Mast, States Attorney entered the meeting with Jordan Hawes, County Deputy to express her concerns about the Counties Insurance Bids. Tom Stated we weren't going to open the bids until November 9th Committee meeting. Rachel stated that she really did like the Insurance we have with ICMRT and the service they give us with the legal help. She has used them several times and they get right back to her with an answer, and as the laws always change they do let her know. She thinks this is a big asset to the County. Jordan also stated that they get a lot of help from them for information at the Sheriffs office thinks they are a great help. Mike McCaughy with ICMRT did speak to the committee and did answer some questions the members had and gave us another set of appraisals for all the County Buildings.

Scott Bentzinger, County Sheriff couldn't make the meeting due to having other obligations.

The members reviewed forty-three claims for payment. After reviewing a motion was made by Dennis Castlebury to present these claims to the full board for payment. Patsy Davis seconded the motion. All voted aye. Motion carried.

In New Business the members did discuss the telephone and cell phone bills and Tom explained what he had done in the past and they did need to find out who all has cells phone that the County pays bills on.

Having nothing further to discuss a motion was made by Tom Rodgers to recess until November 9, 23020 at 6:30pm. Dennis Castlebury seconded the motion. All voted aye. Motion carried.
