Brown County Community Unit School District 1 Board met Oct. 21.

The regular meeting of the Board of Education was held at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom video conference. The meeting was called to order by Philip Krupps. The minutes were recorded by McKenzie Taute.
On roll call: Krupps, yea; Blaesing, absent; Blakeley, yea; McCaskill, yea; Hughes, yea; Fullerton, yea; Heinecke, yea.
In person attendance: Pollee Craven, Sally Ruble, Shelly Sheffler, Tracy Conley, McKenzie Taute, Kris Gallaher, Mary Ingram, Dave Phelps, Diane Rutledge, Todd Fox, Tom Leahy.
In attendance via Zoom: Brian Heinecke, Dan Long, Jillian Theis, Joni Smith, Sandy Prather. Brian Heinecke exited the meeting at 6:10 due to technical difficulties.
Motion by Fullerton, seconded by McCaskill, to approve the Consent Agenda.

Motion by Fullerton, seconded by McCaskill, for the approval of early completion of high school graduation requirements.

Motion by Blakeley, seconded by Hughes, to approve the adjusted credit requirement in the Brown County High School handbook.
Mrs. Craven explained the credit requirement will change from 24 to 23. This change is being made due to the varying schedules with in-person and remote learners.

Motion by Blakeley, seconded by Fullerton, to approve the resolution abating the September 2018 interfund loan of monies from the Transportation Fund to the Education Fund in the amount of $250,000.

Committee Reports:
• Diane Robertson from School Exec Connect presented a permanent superintendent search proposal to the board.
• Tom Leahy from the Illinois Association of School Boards presented a permanent superintendent search proposal to the board.
Motion by Fullerton, seconded by McCaskill, to enter closed session at 7:23 p.m. for the following subjects: a) the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the School District.

Alicia Grady – ES Kitchen Supervisor/Director of Food Service to MS Kitchen Supervisor/Director of Food Service
Resignation:
Shawn Conley – Full Time Bus Driver – effective immediately
Motion by McCaskill, seconded by Fullerton, to approve recommended personnel. Interim hire effective immediately, at a rate of $600 per day, with scheduling authority granted to the board president.
