City of Bushnell City Council met Jan. 4.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

Mayor Wilt called the meeting to order.

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was given.

*City Treasurer Dan Cortelyou stated that the audit is passed due and is holding up some of our Grant payments.

Consent Agenda

Ald. Lorton made a motion to approve the consent agenda, which included the following items:

1. Approval of Minutes from November 16, 2020

2. Approve October Financial Report

Ald. Allen seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Ad Hoc (Mayor’s Report)

*Mayor Wilt suggested we look at other avenues for our auditor.

*Mayor Wilt urges all businesses to get their applications in for the Micro Grant.

Personnel/Finance/Budget

*Ald. Norton stated that the city should follow the Illinois Public Health Guidelines For Covid related incidents.

*Next meeting Thursday, January 7th at 5:00 City Hall

Public Works-Street/Sewer/Alley

*Next meeting Thursday, January 7th @ 3:00 via Zoom

Ald. Yocum made a motion to sell the tandem truck at Kelso’s Auction. Ald. C Howell seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

Real Estate/Parks/Recreation

MAEDCO

*MAEDCO director Kim Pierce stated that she is trying to get ahold of all the local businesses to get them to apply for the Micro Grant. This is for non-essential businesses and the Applications need to be turned in by Wednesday at 4:00.

Engineering

Ald. Lorton made a motion to pay estimate 1 for Albrecht Well Drilling for $187,797.75. Ald. Glisan seconded the motion. A roll call vote was taken with the results as follows:

*Megan Crook from IMEG stated that the well drilling was at a standstill due to the weather and the holidays.

*City Attorney Chuck Leageler stated he would be back in court next Tuesday.

Ald. Allen made a motion to adjourn
