CITY OF MACOMB: Covid-19 McDonough County Mass Vaccination

Covidinject

City of Macomb issued the following announcement on Apr. 9.

The McDonough County Health Department (MCHD) and Schuyler County Health Department (SCHD) has partnered up with McDonough District Hospital (MDH) for mass vaccination. This Mass Vaccination Site Clinic will be held on Saturday April 10th at the Old Farm King building (2700 E Jackson St. Macomb, IL) from 9am-5pm.

Residents 18 and older who reside/work in McDonough or Schuyler County can now receive vaccination. This Clinic is by appointment only, and will not accept walk-ins.

Effective today, vaccine eligibility has expanded to all residents 18 and older.

In order to get as many individuals vaccinated as quickly and safely as possible, the McDonough County Health Department is working with community partners to allow further expansion of COVID-19 vaccination to the general public.

The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) gave local Health Departments the authority on Friday March 26th to expand vaccination to broader groups, based on increasing availability of the three currently authorized vaccines: Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson.

The type of vaccine given at this clinic will be the Johnson &Johnson vaccine and will be listed on the clinic vaccination website. Johnson & Johnson is a one dose vaccine and will not need any reminder for a second dose. Vaccination appointments will move out of priority groups and will be available and listed to all residents age 18+. All residents 18 and older can begin registering for this clinic now.

Appointments can be made online at www.getyourcovidshot.com or by calling our Call Center at (833) 665-4829 Monday-Friday 10am-6pm

Residents should continue to monitor our local media sources for more information.
