Issued the following announcement on Oct. 25
Five student teams at Bradley will present their passion projects as a part of the Turner School of Entrepreneurship and Innovation's Social Impact Challenge. This challenge, happening today from 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. in the Peplow Pavilion of the Hayden-Clark Alumni Center, is a competition where Bradley students create innovative ideas for sustainable enterprises to produce a positive impact on the wellbeing of communities, families or individuals.
This year's ideas include a profitable website concept, a communication system to help collaboration across campus, a creative tourism/lifestyle business, an app that tracks carbon footprint, as well as a way to recycle construction waste material.
Five expert judges will assess the students' ideas and select a winner. The judges include Kim Cornwell, president and CEO of EP!C; Matt George, president and CEO of Children’s Home Association of Illinois; Christell Frausto, a local business owner and community activist; Jim Cote, president of Central Illinois Angels; and Kip McCoy, vice president of Innovation integration at OSF HealthCare.
