Report: Bushnell Prairie City School District spent $10,812 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Bushnell Prairie City Community Unit School District 170 was up 18.8 percent from five years ago, according to the West Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Mcdonough County school district spent $9,102 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,812 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 736 to 616 students over the same period.

Bushnell Prairie City's spending in 2019-20 was 25.4 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
