Report: North Greene School District spent $10,943 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at North Greene Community Unit School District 3 was up 13.1 percent from five years ago, according to the West Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Greene County school district spent $9,675 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $10,943 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 885 to 821 students over the same period.

North Greene's spending in 2019-20 was 24.5 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
