Report: Hamilton School District spent $9,047 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Hamilton Community Consolidated School District 328 was down 3.7 percent from five years ago, according to the West Central Reporter analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Hancock County school district spent $9,394 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $9,047 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 602 to 587 students over the same period.

Hamilton's spending in 2019-20 was 37.6 percent lower than the state average of $14,492.
