McDonough County Board ESDA & Claims Committee met Jan. 18.

The ESDA & Claims Committee held its monthly meeting at 7:00p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members present were Chair Dave Nissen, Ken Durkin, Joe Erlandson, Larry Aurelio, and Vice Chair Julie Melvin. Members absent were Letha Clark, Craig Foster, and Dick Marcott. Also present was ESDA Director Edgar Rodriguez, Patrick Stout, County Board Chair Scott Schwerer, and Committee Secretary Stacey Alexander.
Chair Nissen called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Approval of December 14, 2021 Minutes
Member Durkin moved with a second by Member Melvin to approve the minutes as submitted.
Motion carried on a voice vote.
ESDA Director Report
Director Edgar Rodriguez gave the report. Rodriguez informed the Committee that COVID cases are up. County supplies are being held for sixty days for every department. Staffing shortages area problem in the area, and there are bed shortages at hospitals around us. ESDA has helped bring in nurses with the State’s help.
Approval of Committee Claims
Member Erlandson moved with a second by Member Durkin, to approve the claims as submitted.
Motion carried on a voice vote.
Approval of County Claims
Member Aurelio moved with a second by Member Melvin to approve the claims as submitted.

County Board Chair Comments
County Chair Schwerer informed the Committee that using ARPA as lost revenue came out at the January Finance meeting and the Resolution will go to Board January 19, 2022.

Member Durkin moved with a second by Member Aurelio to adjourn the meeting at 7:37 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
