McDonough County Board Elms/Building and Grounds Committee met Feb. 8.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
The Elms/Building and Grounds Committee met at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members in attendance included, Chair Larry Aurelio, Vice Chair Terra Lithchfield, Mike Cox, Cindi Helling, Travis Hiel, Deckle McLean and, Vicky Kipling. Member David Cortelyou was absent. Others in attendance included Chad Wilson, County Board Chair Scott Schwerer, Elms Administrator Tim Bledsoe, Patrick Stout and Committee Secretary Stacey Alexander.
Chair Larry Aurelio called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Review and Approval of January 11, 2022 Minutes
Member Cox moved with a second by Member Litchfield to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Farm Report
The cash rent bids have came in for a 3 year lease. Ryan Barret bid for $411.00 an acre, Cody McKee bid for $342.00 an acre, and Hillcrest Family Farm bid for $355 an acre. Rent will be paid in full by March 1, 2022.
Member Kipling moved with a second by Member Helling to use Ryan Barret for $411.00 per acre. Motion carried with a voice vote.
Administrator’s Report
Census is at 69, with 9 being Medicare, 39 being Medicaid and, 17 private pay. Medicare currently owes $295,936.49. There were 5 admissions and, 9 discharges.
Financial Report
Member Hiel moved with a second by Member McLean to approve the January Financial Reports. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Elms Claims
Member Cox moved with a second by Member Litchfield to approve the Elm’s claims as submitted. Motion carried with a roll call vote of 7 yeas, 0 nays, 0 vacant and 1 absent.
Macomb Public Building Commission
The railings outside of the jail have been installed.
McDonough County Maintenance Directors Report
Chad Wilson gave the report.
Building and Grounds Claims
Member Hiel moved with a second by Member McLean to approve the January Building and Grounds Claims. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Other
County Board Chair Comments
County Chair Schwerer informed the Committee that the open position for the County Engineer at the Highway Department will be advertised again.

Member Cox moved with a second by Member Kipling to adjourn the meeting at 7:53 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
