McDonough County Road and Bridge Committee met March 3.

The McDonough County Road and Bridge Committee held their monthly meeting at 7:00 P.M. The Meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members present included Vice Chair Mike Cox, Eric Chapman, Lee Calvert, George Dixon, Craig Foster and Rod McGrew. Members absent were Chair David Cortelyou, and Dick Marcott. Other persons in attendance: Dave Cadwalader, Scott Hance, Patrick Stout, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes.
Vice Chair Mike Cox called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.
Review Minutes from February 3, 2022
Member McGrew moved with a second by Member Calvert to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Discuss 1998 Highway Department Personnel Policy
Member Chapman moved with a second by Member Foster that the 1998 Highway Department Personnel Policy is null and void. The County Handbook is in place. Motion carried on a voice vote
Approve Resolution accepting MFT Material Quotes
Member McGrew moved with a second by Member Chapman to approve Resolution accepting MFT material quotes. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Discuss Highway Department Credit Card
The Highway Department Credit Card was approved in February of 2021. They will get one and give the information to the County Board to Amend the Pre-paid Resolution.
Completed Bridge Inspections
Acting Engineer Scott Hance informed the Committee that the inspections are completed and they will now get sent to IDOT.
Discuss proposed TBP Project (Scotland Pipes)
Acting Engineer Scott Hance informed the Committee that the next project will be in New Salem Township.
Road Closure on 7850N-Scottlamd Township
Acting Engineer Scott Hance informed the Committee that the New Salem Township want to close part of 750 N. Road. More discussions will be held at a later date.
Grant St./St. Francis milling and overlay letting, 3/10/2022
Acting Engineer Scott Hance informed the Committee the Highway Department will be milling Grant St. from Candy Lane and 700 to 300 on St. Francis. The overlay letting will be March 10.
IDOT Documentation Review-01/01/2017 thru 12/21/2020
Acting engineer Scott Hance received the review from IDOT for 2017-2020.
Advertisement for County engineer
No applicants have applied. Vice Chair Cox would like the Committee to determine if it will be full time and compensation. Vice Chair Cox will meet with Chair Cortelyou to rewrite the add.

Claims
Member Foster moved with a second by Member Chapman to approve the claims submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Other Business
Scott Hance handed out a map of Emmett Township to show where Richard Wilson lives. Richard Wilson would like the ditch by his home filled so he can mow it. This has been discussed before by the Committee.
County Chair Comments
County Chair Schwerer asked about salt. Cadwalader stated that we have plenty.
