McDonough County Board Human Resources and Planning Committee met March 10.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The Human Resources and Planning Committee met at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members in attendance included Chair Letha Clark, Vice Chair Deckle McLean, George Dixon, Cindi Helling, Michael Kirby, Rod McGrew, Dave Nissen, and Vicky Kipling.

Others in attendance included Animal Control Officer Zack Welch, County Chair Scott Schwerer, Bonnie Scripps, John Vigezzi, Karen Blakeley, and Committee Secretary Stacey Alexander.

Chair Letha Clark called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Review and Approve Minutes from February 10, 2022

Member McGrew moved with a second by Member Helling to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried with a voice vote.

Animal Control Report

Animal Control Officer, Zach Welch gave the report. The total number of dogs in the shelter at the end of February was 4 and there were 33 cats. John Vigezzi is looking into having some pets at Farm King. Welch also stated that they are going to advertise for mowing, and that they have one bid. Member Dixon inquired about the L.P.

Humane Society

Bonnie Scripps informed the Committee that there is nothing going on right now.

GIS Update

Michael Kirby informed the Committee that he received an email from Chad Sperry. He provided a copy to the Committee.

Claims

Member Dixon moved with a second by Vice Chair Deckle McLean to approve claims as submitted. Motion carried on voice vote.
