McDonough County Board Finance Committee met April 13.
Here are the minutes provided by the committee:
The monthly Finance Committee meeting was held at 6:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee members present were Chair Travis Hiel, Letha Clark, Dave Cortelyou, Mike Cox, Joe Erlandson, and Dave Nissen. Vice Chair Larry Aurelio was absent. Others in attendance included Patrick Stout, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes.
Chair Hiel called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
Review and Approve Minutes from March 9, 2021
Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member Nissen to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
MCPT Report Review & Approval
The monthly request for March 2022 was reviewed. Member Erlandson moved with a second by Member Clark to approve the MCPT Report in the amount of $1,143.00 for March, 2022. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Bushnell Senior Meals Report Review & Approval
The monthly report for March 2022 from the YMCA for transportation of senior meals was reviewed. Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member Clark to approve the March 2022 YMCA report in the amount of $785.06. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Coroner Report
The monthly Coroner Report was received and filed.
Monthly Financial Reports
The monthly Financial Reports were received and filed.
Transfer of Funds
A transfer of funds in the amount of $250,000.00 was made from Insurance Clearing to Mutual Medical.
Warrants Issued in Vacation
Member Erlandson moved with a second by Member Clark to approve the Warrants Issued in Vacation. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Discuss ARPA Funds Action
A discussion was held regarding how to spend the ARPA money. Member Cox discussed the RFQ to several forms on the Courthouse renovation. After much discussion Chair Hiel would like the Committee to come back next month with some ideas for an application for community projects.
Elected Officials Salaries
Member Erlandson moved with a second by Member Nissen to set the salary for 2022-2023 at $65,000.00 for the County Clerk, and the County Treasurer, $92,000 for the Sheriff with a 3.25% increase for the next 3 years. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Member Cortelyou moved with a second by Member Clark to accept Polling Locations for 2022- 2023. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Approval of Claims
Member Erlandson moved with a second by Member Cortelyou to approve the Claims as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
