McDonough County Board Human Resources and Planning Committee met April 14.

The Human Resources and Planning Committee met at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members in attendance included Chair Letha Clark, Vice Chair Deckle McLean, George Dixon, Michael Kirby, and Dave Nissen. Members Cindi Helling, Vicky Kipling, and Rod McGrew were absent. Others in attendance included Bonnie Scripps, Patrick Stout, Karen Blakeley, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes.
Chair Letha Clark called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Review and Approve Minutes from March 10, 2022
County Chair Schwerer moved with a second by Member McLean to approve the minutes with corrections. Motion carried with a voice vote.
Animal Control Report
The report was distributed to the Committee. The total number of dogs in the shelter at the end of March was 4 and there were 31 cats.
Humane Society
Bonnie Scripps informed the Committee that on June 18th, 2022 the Humane Society will hold the Wine Whiskers and Whimsey fund raiser at the American Legion in Macomb.

Discuss Mowing Bids
Three bids were received.
Member Dixon moved with a second by Member Kirby to accept the bid received from Rigg Lawn Service. Motion carried on a voice vote.
Claims
Member McLean moved with a second by Member Dixon to approve the claims as submitted. Motion carried on voice vote.
Other
Member McLean informed the Committee that the sign on the corner of 67 and Tower Road should be done soon. Member Nissen said that he would like the Animal Control Officer to attend the HR & Planning meetings.

Adjourn
Member Dixon moved with a second by Member Kirby to adjourn the meeting at 7:23 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
