Pike County taxpayers paid $59,293 in Special County Retailers Occupation Tax in September, according to Illinois tax records.

This is an increase over the month before when $54,982 was collected.

Taxpayers in Pike County have paid $654,351 in Special County Retailers Occupation Tax in the last 12 months.

The Special County Retailers Occupation Tax is collected for county governments use.

Illinois is the highest taxed state in the US.
