McDonough County Board Road & Bridge Committee met Sept. 1.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The McDonough County Road and Bridge Committee held their monthly meeting at 7:00 P.M. The Meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members present included Chair Dave Cortelyou, Vice Chair Mike Cox, Lee Calvert, Eric Chapman, Craig Foster, Dick Marcott, and Rod McGrew. Committee Member George Dixon was absent. Other persons in attendance: Patrick Stout, County Engineer Megan Crook, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes.

Chair Dave Cortelyou called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M.

Review Minutes from August 4, 2022

Member Chapman moved with a second by Member McGrew to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Approve Resolution Request for County Aid to Bridge Funds Project 2230-100

Member Foster moved with a second by Member McGrew to approve the Resolution Request for County Aid to Bridge Funds Project 2230-100. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Approve Resolution Request for County Aid to Bridge Funds Project 2230-101

Member Cox moved with a second by Member Foster to approve the Resolution Request for County Aid to Bridge Funds Project 2230-101. Motion carried on a voice vote.

August Work Report

Report given by County Engineer Megan Crook. She will be getting a time set to start working on the union contract. The Highway Department and Laverdiere Construction have been working together on a portion of the Blandinsville/Tennessee blacktop. Crook also passed out a map of the proposed 336 corridor from Macomb to Peoria.

Claims

Member McGrew moved with a second by Member Foster to approve the claims submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Other Business

None.

County Chair Comments

County Chair Schwerer announced that there will be a meeting opposing the CO2 pipeline. Member McGrew asked if they would hold a discussion regarding the pipeline. Schwerer also shared a letter with the Committee that he received from a concerned citizen on the north Blandinsville blacktop.

Adjourn

Member Calvert moved with a second by Member Chapman to adjourn the meeting at 7:22 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
