McDonough County Board Human Resources and Planning Committee met Jan. 12.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The Human Resources and Planning Committee met on Thursday, January 12, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members in attendance included Chair Letha Clark, George Dixon, Michael Kirby, Dustin Berg, Dana Walker, Jerry Raby and Dave Nissen. Members absent were Vice Chair Vicky Kipling. Others in attendance included Animal Control Officer Zach Welch, Patrick Stout, John Vigezzi, Karen Blakeley, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and Committee Secretary Stacey Alexander.

Chair Letha Clark called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Review and Approve Minutes from December 8, 2022

Member Dixon moved with a second by Member Nissen to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Animal Control Report

Animal Control Officer, Zach Welch gave the report. There was 16 dogs and 32 cats in the shelter at the end of December. Member Dixon asked Zach Welch about the conditions of the Animal Shelter pickup truck. Zach stated that it was in need of tires.

Humane Society

None.

Policies and Procedures

None.

GIS Update

No report.

Claims

Member Berg moved with a second by Member Kirby to approve the claims as submitted. Motion carried on voice vote.

Other

None.

County Board Chair Comments

Chair Schwerer informed the Committee that during the Lame Duck Session in Springfield there was Legislation being discussed on Wind and Solar Farms getting out of the hands of the County and into the hands of the State.

Adjourn

Member Dixon moved with a second by Member Walker to adjourn the meeting at 7:18 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
