Q4 2021 Recap: 3 parolees from Pike County convicted of property crimes set for release

There were three offenders convicted of property crimes living in Pike County released on parole during the fourth quarter of 2021, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the West Central Reporter.

The data shows one man and two women were among the parolees. Of the parolees sentenced for property crimes, one was a veteran, and the median age was 30. The youngest parolee was a 29-year-old woman sentenced in 2019, and the oldest was a 54-year-old man sentenced in 2014.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Manuel Pressey. He was convicted in 2014 when he was 45 years old. He is now 54.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The following table shows how many offenders convicted of property crimes were paroled during the fourth quarter of 2021 in each Illinois county.
