McDonough County Board Human Resources and Planning Committee met March 9.

HUMAN RESOURCES AND PLANNING COMMITTEE

MARCH 9, 2023

The Human Resources and Planning Committee met on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee Members in attendance included Chair Letha Clark, Vice Chair Vicky Kipling, Dustin Berg, Michael Kirby, Dave Nissen, Jerry Raby, and Dana Walker. Member George Dixon was absent. Others in attendance included Animal Control Officer Wendy Hughes, Bonnie Skripps, John Vigezzi, Karen Blakeley, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and Deputy Clerk Emily Flynn.

Chair Letha Clark called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.

Review and Approve Minutes from February 9, 2023

Member Walker moved with a second by Member Raby to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Animal Control Report

Animal Control Officer, Wendy Hughes gave the report. There was 18 dogs and 25 cats in the shelter at the end of February.

Humane Society

Bonnie Skripps passed out brochures and a news letter about the Casino night fundraiser that was held on March 4th.

They had 300 people attend and made $32,000.00 towards the new animal shelter.

County Board Chair Comments

County Chair Schwerer asked the members to review the email from the architects.

Adjourn

Member Kipling moved with a second by Member Raby to adjourn the meeting at 7:20 p.m. Motion carried on a voice vote.
