Students in Schuyler County districts had a truancy rate of 3.1% in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education. This was a decrease from the previous school year's rate of 5.7%.

There were 927 students enrolled in Schuyler County districts in the 2021-22 school year, of which 29 students were absent throughout the year.

Across the county, Schuyler-Industry Community Unit School District 5 suffered the most truancy issues (3.6%) in the 2021-22 school year. Meanwhile, Schuyler-Industry Community Unit School District 5 successfully recorded the lowest truancy rate in the region (3.6%).
