City of Macomb City Council met Oct. 9.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

MEETING CALLED TO ORDER

ROLL CALL

PUBLIC COMMENT – Citizens wishing to address the City Council on matters germane to the agenda of the meeting will be limited to Three (3) minutes and are asked to be brief and concise in making their remarks. Comments submitted by mail or email will not be read aloud but a copy will be provided to each member of the Council and made a part of the minutes.

NEW BUSINESS

1. Consideration to accept the resignation of City Treasurer, Mac Price effective October 1, 2023. Final action is in order.

2. Consideration to appoint Andrea Henderson as the new City Treasurer for the City of Macomb. Final action is in order.

3. Swear in City Treasurer Andrea Henderson.

Mayor Inman will swear in new Treasurer.

4. Consideration to adopt a Resolution Authorizing the Sale of Surplus Real Estate owned by the City of Macomb.

City Attorney Scalf will read the resolution into the records. Final action is in order.

MAYORAL APPOINTMENTS

Accept resignation of Andrea Henderson from the Police and Fire Commission and concur with appointment of Adrienne Graham to the Police and Fire Commission.

EXECUTIVE SESSION

To consider information relative to:

a) Appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of an employee of the public body or legal counsel for the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c) (1) of the Open Meetings Act.

b) Collective Bargaining matters between the public body and its employees or representatives or deliberations concerning salary schedules for one or more classes of employees, pursuant to Sec. 2(c) (2) of the Open Meetings Act.

c) Selection of a person to fill a public office, including a vacancy in a public office or the discipline, performance, or removal of the occupant of a public office, pursuant to Sec. 2(c)(3) of the Open Meetings Act.

d) The purchase or lease of real property for the use of the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c) (5) of the Open Meetings Act.

e) The setting of a price for sale or lease of property owned by the public body, pursuant to Sec. 2(c) (6) of the Open Meetings Act.

f) Pending or probable litigation, pursuant to Sec. 2(c) (11) of the Open Meetings Act.
