1. CALL TO ORDER

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by the Board President, Ms. McClendon

2. ROLL CALL

Present: President Mr. Griffin, and Board Members: Clark-Smith, Perez, Morton, Arredondo, Riales, Eubanks

Absent: Ms. Arredondo

Late: Ms. Arredondo arrived at 6:34 p.m.

Also Present: Superintendent Dr. Hansen, Director of Finance Ms. Baptist, Director of Personnel/HR Mrs. Rusike, Executive Assistant Mrs. Walton, and Attorney Lamb

3. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

Board President led the audience into the Pledge of Allegiance.

5. Swearing-In (Oath of Office) New Board Member, Ms. Cynthia Eubanks.

6. A motion was made by Ms. Arredondo, seconded by Ms. Riales, to approve the Memorandum of Understanding with Bellwood Education Association, IEA-NEA (BEA) and the Board of Education of Bellwood School District 88. ESL/Bilingual Endorsement Program pending final authorization by the attorney.

A motion was made by Ms. Arredondo, seconded by Ms. Riales, to approve Hackie Cement Corporation addendum of cost due to a change in scope (installing drainage) in the parking lot of Lincoln Primary school. The overall cost increase is due to an escalation in concrete, material, labor, and equipment. The total amount of the change listed is $164,010.05.

Ms. Riales informed the Board that she took the Community Service Leaders to Fred Hampton Jr. Dad's 73rd Birthday.

Dr. Hansen mentioned that the Chambers of Commerce event will be held on October 5, 2023.

Dr. Hansen stated that the Parent mentoring program contract is being looked over by our Attorney's.

A motion was made by Ms. Riales seconded by Mrs. Perez to adjourn the Regular

Board Meeting at 7:22 p.m. with a voice vote all in favor Aye or Nay. The Ayes have it meeting adjourned.
