McDonough County Board Finance Committee met Nov. 8.

Here are the minutes provided by the committee:

The monthly Finance Committee meeting was held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 7:05 p.m. The meeting was held at the McDonough County Courthouse, Courtroom 201. Committee members present were Chair Travis Hiel, Vice Chair Larry Aurelio, Letha Clark, Dave Cortelyou, Mike Cox, and Joe Erlandson. Member Dave Nissen was absent. Others in attendance included Patrick Stout, Chris Pumo, County Clerk Gretchen DeJaynes, County Chair Scott Schwerer, and Deputy Clerk Emily Flynn.

Chair Hiel called the meeting to order at 7:05 p.m.

Review and Approve Minutes from October 11, 2023

Member Erlandson moved with a second by Member Clark to approve the minutes as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Insurance Update

Chris Pumo with Pumo Insurance handed out packets regarding property and casualty insurance. Policy renewal dates of December 1 and January 1, there is a 7% increase, and the Safety Grant will be $29,000.00. Send to full Board for approval.

MCPT Report Review & Approval

Member Aurelio moved with a second by Member Cortelyou to approve the MCPT invoice in the amount of $1,228.50 for October, 2023. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Bushnell Senior Meals Report Review & Approval

Member Erlandson moved with a second by Member Clark to approve the YMCA invoice in the amount of $894.16 for October, 2023. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Coroner Report

The monthly Coroner Report was received and filed.

Monthly Financial Reports

The monthly Financial Reports were received and filed. Member Erlandson expressed concern regarding wind farm funds in the future.

Transfer of Funds

On October 19, 2023 $250,000.00 was transferred to Insurance Clearing.

Warrants Issued in Vacation

Member Aurelio moved with a second by Member Erlandson to approve the Warrants Issued in Vacation. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Approve Clock and Bell Striker Restoration

Member Aurelio moved with a second by Member Cortelyou to approve the Clock and Bell Striker Restoration. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Approve Various FY 2023 Budget Resolutions

None.

Approve FY 2024 McDonough County Budget

Member Erlandson moved with a second by Member Cortelyou to approve the FY 2024 McDonough County Budget. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Approve FY 2024 McDonough County Levy

Member Aurelio moved with a second by Member Clark to approve the FY 2024 McDonough County Levy. Motion carried on a voice vote.

Approval of Claims

Member Erlandson moved with a second by Member Aurelio to approve the Claims as submitted. Motion carried on a voice vote.
