Western Illinois Men's Soccer faced off against in-state rival Bradley on Thursday night, seeking their first victory over the Braves since 2015. Bradley secured a decisive four-nil shutout win.

Bradley initiated the scoring in the 12th minute, establishing an early one-nothing lead. Shortly after this, freshman outside back Benjamin Graham received a yellow card, followed by Oscar Olingdahl picking up Western's second yellow card in the 29th minute. Western Illinois nearly maintained the one-goal deficit until halftime, but Bradley extended their lead to two-nothing just 20 seconds before the break.

At halftime, Western swapped goalkeeper Micah Ramirez for Youssou Ouendeno. Despite this change, Bradley scored an additional two goals in the second half. They almost added a fifth goal; however, it was ruled offside.

Western Illinois was outshot 10-6 during the match. The Leathernecks utilized more players, with Gabriel Velasco, Bruce Harris, August Jacus, and Dayton Strattman all making their debuts.

The Leathernecks will face Quincy on Sunday in their home opener at 5 PM.
