Western Illinois University's women's tennis team is set to conclude its fall season by hosting Quincy this Sunday. The Leathernecks have shown strong performances throughout the fall, featuring a revamped lineup with several new players in the top six positions.

Returning players Paige Grice and Lara Rossetto Diniz de Souza have maintained their form from last spring, contributing to Western Illinois' impressive run this fall. Their performances have caught the attention of competitors in the Ohio Valley Conference during recent tournaments.

The upcoming match against Quincy will take place at the Western Illinois Tennis Facility on Sunday, October 6, starting at noon. Fans can follow live stats online and keep up with updates through social media platforms such as X, Facebook, and Instagram.

Mana Fawcett won one of the singles titles in the No. 6 singles flight after a series of decisive victories. Richardlyne Francois also secured a championship title in the No. 4 singles flight with commanding wins throughout her matches.

Chloe Routier contributed to WIU's success by winning another title in No. 3 singles. Despite facing challenges in her semifinal match, she emerged victorious in straight sets during the finals.

Paige Grice reached the runner-up position in No. 1 singles after advancing past her semifinal opponent but falling short in the final match.

In doubles competition, Grice teamed up with Fawcett to secure second place in No. 2 doubles after a series of competitive matches. Similarly, Francois paired with Denver Johnson for another second-place finish at No. 3 doubles.

Following this weekend's matchup against Quincy, Western Illinois will enter their winter break before resuming play on January 25 at IU Indy.
