Brittany Wulf has been recognized as the Ohio Valley Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week, according to an announcement made by the conference on Monday. This marks a significant achievement for Western Illinois University (WIU), as it is the first time since 2013 that multiple players from the institution have received Player of the Week honors in a single season.
Wulf played a pivotal role for the Leathernecks over the past week. Competing in all nine sets during matches against Little Rock, she achieved double-digit kills, with scores of 16 and 17. The Lincoln, Nebraska native maintained a .371 hitting percentage in Friday's match and a .277 hitting percentage on Saturday. Additionally, Wulf contributed significantly at the service line with five service aces in Saturday's match, aiding WIU to secure a 4-2 record in the OVC.
WIU aims to build on their recent success as they prepare for their upcoming games at UT-Martin this weekend.
