Western Illinois women's tennis ends season at OVC quarterfinals

The Western Illinois women's tennis team concluded its season with a defeat in the quarterfinals of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament. The match against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville ended 4-0 in favor of SIUE, held in St. Louis.

The Leathernecks finished their season with a record of 2-16. During the match, SIUE secured victory by winning two doubles matches to earn the initial point and subsequently claimed three singles matches.

Looking ahead, Western Illinois will enter the offseason retaining three of its top six players for next year. These include all three singles win leaders: Lara Rossetto Diniz de Souza, Paige Grice, and Anna-Evelina Trush. Additionally, their top doubles team, consisting of Rossetto Diniz de Souza and Grice, is expected to return.
