Western Illinois University Athletics has outlined a series of gameday strategies and health protocols for fans attending football games at Hanson Field. The upcoming game against UT Martin is scheduled to kick off at 3:02 p.m. CST and will be available on ESPN+.
The day's events begin with the opening of tailgate lots, presented by Toyota, at 10:00 a.m., followed by the Homecoming Parade at 10:30 a.m. The ticket office and gates open at 1:30 p.m., with alcohol sales starting inside Hanson Field at 2:00 p.m. The Touchdown Terrace, presented by Michelob Ultra, opens at 2:30 p.m., and team warm-ups are set for 2:50 p.m.
Parking arrangements include reserved spots for Leatherneck Club members who have purchased season tickets. Free parking is available to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Handicap accessible parking is located on the west side of Q Lot near Western Hall.
A clear bag policy is in effect, allowing only specific types of bags inside Hanson Field. Exceptions are made for medically necessary items and diaper bags after inspection.
Fans can join the Alumni Association in celebrating WIU's Homecoming Parade at 10:30 a.m., marking 125 years of purple and gold. Students with a WIU Student ID gain free admission to the game and access to the Student Tailgate space.
Leatherneck Club members at the All-American level can enjoy amenities at the Touchdown Terrace, including field-level viewing and beverages for purchase. Rocky's Kids Club activities will take place in the southwest corner of Hanson Field.
Buffalo Wild Wings offers fans six free wings with purchase whenever the Leathernecks sack an opposing quarterback during home games.
