Leatherneck men's golf concludes fall season at Turtle Point Invite

The Leatherneck Men's Golf team is preparing for their final fall event at the Turtle Point Invite in Killen, Alabama. The tournament will take place on October 14 and 15, marking the end of the season for Western Illinois University's golfers.

In their previous outing, WIU secured 12th place at the Throw Down Up Top Tournament with a total score of 925 (+49). Baptiste Labeyrie led the team by finishing in 34th place with a score of 227 (+8). His teammates Nathan Tillman, Mateo Rascon, Luke Lofgren, and Bayden Hubacher contributed scores of +10, +20, +20, and +28 respectively.

Competing alongside WIU at Turtle Point are teams from Stephen F. Austin, Missouri, Alabama, Vanderbilt, Lincoln Memorial, Alabama A&M, West Florida, Samford, Auburn, Montevallo, Wallace State and Jacksonville State.

The Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club hosts this par-72 tournament on its 7,035-yard course. Each day begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 AM. Monday's schedule includes two rounds totaling 36 holes while Tuesday features an additional round of 18 holes.
