Western and Northern Iowa ended their match in a draw, with both teams unable to score despite strong performances. The Panthers made nine attempts at goal, six of which were on target but did not result in any goals.

Senior goalkeeper Isabel Navas Rodriguez played a crucial role for Western, making six saves during the match. Freshman forward Kelsi McThenia was the only player from Western to have a shot on goal, nearly scoring in the closing moments.

Emmy Ellington, Hana Daoudi, Malerie Rohweder, and Sarah De Gannes completed the full 90 minutes for Western. Notably, Ellington and Rohweder have played every minute in all three matches this season for the Leathernecks.

The game marked Western's first draw of the season, bringing their record to 1-1-1. Northern Iowa had been on a winning streak with three consecutive victories but now stands at 3-0-1. Looking ahead, Western is set to travel for upcoming matches against Loyola in Chicago on August 31 and Milwaukee on September 3.
