Western Illinois cross country teams start season with home invitational

The Western Illinois men's and women's cross country teams are set to begin their season by hosting the Western Illinois Alumni Cross Country Invitational. The event will take place at Spring Lake Park, starting with the women's race at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Last year, the Leatherneck women claimed victory in this event, while the men secured second place behind Bradley.

The Leathernecks will face the Loyola Ramblers on Thursday, August 31 at 7 p.m. CT at Loyola Soccer Park in Chicago, IL. They will then travel to Engelmann Stadium in Milwaukee, WI to play the Milwaukee Panthers on Sunday, September 3 at 1 p.m. CT.
