City of Rushville City Council met Oct. 21.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

1. Roll Call & Call to Order  

2. Opening Prayer  

3. Pledge of Allegiance  

4. Public Comments – (limited to 5 minutes per person – 30 minutes per topic) 

5. Consent Agenda  

All items on the Consent Agenda are considered to be routine in nature and will be enacted in one motion.  There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Council Member so requests, in which event,  the item will be removed from the Consent Agenda and considered as the first item after approval of the  Consent Agenda.  

a. Approve the Minutes of the Regular Meeting held October 7, 2024  

b. Approve the Minutes of the Police Committee Meeting held October 16, 2024; Sidewalk &  Lighting Committee Meeting held October 16, 2024; & Street Committee Meeting held October 16, 2024  

c. Approve “Claims for Council Approval Dated 10/21/24” & Accept Monthly Reports d. Approve Closing the North & South Alley between N. Congress & N. Monroe Streets West of the  1st United Methodist Church on Friday, November 1st for the Annual Harvest Meal  

6. Items to be Removed from Consent Agenda – If Applicable  

7. Discuss & Consider Approving the Appointment of Josh Spencer as Superintendent of Operations at a  Salary of $67,000  

8. Discuss & Consider Advertising for Full-Time Employee  

9. Discuss & Consider Purchasing Duty Weapons for Police Officers  

10. Council Member & Officials’ Reports 

11. Adjourn
