FOIA Request to City of Macomb Regarding Unpaid Parking Violations on October 28, 2024.
In our continuous effort to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at West Central Reporter have submitted a request for records under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act, 5 ILCS 140. The request was sent electronically to the city clerk's office in the City of Macomb.
The records we are seeking include a list of all parking violations currently unpaid within the city. This list should include details such as the name of the offender, their address, the amount due for each violation, the date each violation occurred, and the total amount due overall.
As a media organization committed to transparency and accountability in public institutions, access to these public records is essential for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities.
